Cathy Chavez, MSW, LICSW
Since 1990, Cathy has helped many people find solutions to the challenges life presents. Her professional style is direct, but also nurturing and compassionate.

Cathy specializes in the treatment of depression and anxiety disorders and counsels couples with relationship issues. She has expertise in stepfamilies and divorce adjustment.

Cathy has trained with the Relational Life Institute in Boston and she applies her skills and knowledge in Relational Life Therapy to her work with all clients. She has experience in a variety of problems including Grief and Loss, Women’s issues related to weight/body image and self care, Workplace issues, and Parent-Child Relational problems. Cathy is one of a few therapists in Minnesota with training in the treatment of Trichotillomania (hair pulling disorder).
Cathy completed her Master’s degree in clinical social work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is licensed as an Independent Clinical Social Worker in Minnesota.
