Marriage Counseling
Marriage therapists, who are trained to work with couples, are trained in a variety of modalities to assist people who are in committed relationships. These modalities include, but are not limited to, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Relational Life Therapy, the Gottman Method, and Imago Therapy. Therapy begins with an assessment of the couple relationship, and a discussion about the type of intervention that that may work best for the couple’s unique situation. A marriage therapist will help provide tools for enhanced communication, conflict resolution, understanding and navigating emotions, and increased intimacy. Marriage and Family Therapy is designed to help a couple reach the desired results best for their unique relationship.
