Play therapy is a specialized therapeutic approach that helps children communicate, explore emotions, and work through challenges using the language they know best—play. In a structured and supportive playroom, therapists incorporate toys, art, storytelling, and creative activities to help children express feelings they may not yet have the words for. Through this process, children build emotional regulation, confidence, problem-solving skills, and healthier ways of relating to others. At Bridges and Pathways, we have therapists who are trained in and utilize the play therapy model to support children and families with concerns such as anxiety, trauma, behavioral issues, grief, family transitions, and social or school-related challenges. Our child therapists provide compassionate, developmentally appropriate mental health support to help kids thrive.
