Rebecca Zabinski
Rebecca Zabinski LPCC

Rebecca Zabinski is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Minnesota with over 15 years of experience in the counseling field. Originally from New Mexico, she met her husband while serving in the United States Air Force. As a proud woman veteran, she has come to love Minnesota and its unique charm.

Rebecca began her career in the Air Force and has extensive experience working with children aged 5–17 and their families in school settings. Today, her focus is on supporting older teens and adults, helping them navigate a wide range of life challenges.

Her therapeutic approach is collaborative and grounded in trust. Rebecca believes in meeting clients where they are and partnering with them to set meaningful goals. Her style is relational and conversational, often incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and attachment-based techniques. She frequently provides clients with small, actionable goals to help them build habits that align with their larger aspirations.

Outside of her work, Rebecca enjoys spending time outdoors with her three children and their dogs, gardening, and exploring the natural beauty of Minnesota.

What Clients Can Expect:

In the first session, Rebecca takes time to understand the client’s reasons for seeking therapy and works collaboratively to establish a few initial goals. The session typically involves gathering relevant background information, including family history, to shape a tailored approach to therapy. This initial meeting is focused on creating a plan rather than diving into a standard therapy session.

Therapeutic Strengths:

Rebecca’s style is often described as calming, relational, and supportive. She creates a safe, open environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences. By asking thoughtful questions, she encourages reflection and empowers clients to discover their own solutions.

Between sessions, Rebecca helps clients stay on track by focusing on small, actionable goals. When appropriate, she assigns relevant homework to maintain progress. Open communication is a cornerstone of her practice, and she frequently clarifies expectations to ensure alignment with clients’ therapy goals. While providing unconditional support, Rebecca also challenges clients to think differently, promoting growth and deeper self-awareness.

Rebecca is committed to fostering personal growth and healing in every client she works with.
