Serene Eidem MSW, MAHS, LGSW, CHTP, Reiki Master

Serene Eidem brings a wealth of experience in holistic wellness and social services, combining her skills as a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW), Certified Healing Touch Practitioner (CHTP) through Healing Beyond Borders, and Reiki Master, trained at St. Catherine University. She is also EMDR-trained through EMDRIA and is currently pursuing EMDR certification, specializing in trauma-informed care and emotional healing. With dual master’s degrees in Social Work (MSW) and Holistic Health Studies (MAHS), Serene is passionate about supporting clients in achieving balance, healing, and personal growth.

Serene’s work is eclectic, heart-centered, and spirit-driven, reflecting her commitment to addressing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Her extensive experience includes peacemaking training and restorative justice work, where she has helped youth avoid felony convictions by fostering accountability, healing, and community connection. Additionally, Serene has studied plant medicine and incorporates this knowledge into her holistic approach, exploring the therapeutic potential of plants in emotional and energetic healing.

As a health educator, Serene has led large community healing circles, fostering connection, collective wellness, and emotional release through group-based healing practices. Her facilitation of these circles has strengthened community bonds while addressing shared challenges and promoting cultural and spiritual growth.

Serene is both a grantee and a participant in Tiwahe’s Oyate Leadership Network. As a grantee, she has been awarded a Tiwahe grant to support community arts and healing initiatives, promoting cultural connection and collective wellness through creative expression. As a participant in the Oyate Leadership Network, Serene has expanded her skills in community leadership and collaboration, working alongside other leaders to foster resilience and healing in Indigenous communities.

Much of her work has focused on adults and families, with particular expertise in co-occurring disorders and trauma-informed practice. She has worked extensively with BIPOC communities, particularly Native American individuals, LGBTQ+ clients, individuals with Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI), couples, and youth. Serene is dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive space that honors cultural identities and spiritual connections, empowering clients to navigate life transitions, manage stress, and heal from emotional and energetic challenges.

Currently, Serene is a clinical trainee pursuing licensure hours in the state of Minnesota to obtain her LICSW. She is committed to empowering individuals to heal on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels. In addition to individual sessions, she leads workshops and retreats that focus on holistic wellness, restorative justice, plant medicine, community connection, and cultural healing.

In her free time, Serene enjoys connecting with nature, engaging in creative expression, and spending time with loved ones. She is also an advocate for community empowerment and enjoys collaborating on projects that promote collective healing.
