Heidi Spetzman
Heidi Spetzman LAMFT

Heidi enjoys working with individuals and adolescents (ages 10 and up). She brings experience supporting individuals with developmental and physical challenges, and she approaches therapy with a collaborative, narrative perspective—honoring each client’s unique life story. In Heidi’s words, “Therapy is a special and safe place to explore your own story. You are in charge, but you are not alone.”

Heidi is known for building strong, stable therapeutic relationships and walking alongside her clients with compassion and curiosity. Sessions are offered both in-person and via telehealth.

She works with clients on a variety of concerns, with special interest and experience in:

  • Anxiety & Depression
  • Grief and Loss
  • Chronic Illness
  • Life Transitions
  • Returning Military Personnel
  • Spirituality
  • ADHD/ADD
  • Neurodiverse Populations
  • Behavioral Interventions
  • Sexuality & LGBTQ+ Support

Heidi is currently working toward certification as an Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS), anticipated Fall 2025. She is also trained in Person-Centered Planning and is an ordained minister.

With more than 20 years of experience serving Minnesota communities, Heidi has provided a wide range of services, including ARMHS, CTSS, ILS, job coaching for teens and adults with developmental challenges, and teaching life skills through community education. She has also managed in-home services for individuals with physical and mental health needs.

One of Heidi’s greatest strengths is her openness and ability to create a space where clients feel safe exploring even the most sensitive topics.

Outside of her professional work, Heidi enjoys riding her motorcycle, photography, lifelong learning, spending time outdoors and in the garden, and being with her family and three dogs.
